You find your place in the world, your calling, and you work like hell at it. You work at it whilst there’s no crowds, and whilst there are people around. You work when there’s no motivation, and you work when there’s no remuneration. You work in the dark, and you work in the light. You work in the sunshine, and you work in the rain. You work when it’s easy, and you work when it’s hard. You work when everyone doesn’t believe in you, but you believe in yourself. You work when people try and sink you, but you have faith in your ability to swim. But the main thing is that you work at your calling – that’s the nonnegotiable. Don’t be idle. Idleness will kill the individual. When you truly work, putting the work in, something starts to shift and take shape, something from somewhere else…
Never let anyone detract from your mission and calling, especially when what you do does nobody any harm. The world is full of voices eager to tell you why it won’t work, and why you will fail. They will never get it. They’re not supposed to. They speak from the material views and prisons that they live in, and not the boundless possibilities that exist within the individual. They measure life in hours and money, and external validation without the ability to understand that moments that enrich the soul are what drive the individual and propel him forward every single day whilst on his journey. The individual lives somewhere else. He resides in a land without borders so to speak, and this unsettles those that are trapped by fear in their self imposed prisons and limitations. Live your life and achieve your milestones each and every single day that only you know and understand.
Live your life so those that look on know with all the certainty in the world that you’re living your own life, unmistakably, and without question, not a life that was dictated to you by a teacher, a professional, or the expectations of others. It takes courage. It isn’t easy. But that is precisely why so few get to look back and say I did it, I lived life my way…
Always chasing the horizon.
