When you commit to this, and you feel it stir something deep inside of you, you just know it. And sometimes only you need to know and comprehend it, because thats all that truly matters. I’m still left in awe by the connection between myself and a dog, any dog – clients or my own; as if we were lifelong dance partners who shared a mind-body connection and we found each other on a dance floor somewhere, to dance as one entity. A haphazard coming together of sorts. I am convinced it is rare to feel something so fluid and effortless, and so clearly. And this fluidity is not just physical; it is deeply emotional. I often feel connected to the multitudes of other dogs in a particular dog’s lineage that is in front of me today.

I connect to any dog, and I feel this unbelievably quickly, but this particular breed is special to me. I feel a connection I can’t quite explain most days. These animals are the physical embodiment of everything the visionaries wanted them to be, and I believe, a bit more too. They are intricate links to an ancient bond between man and dog, a manifestation of artistic expression that only a very few in the grand scheme of things possess a feeling to understand. Not everyone understands a Pointer, and I firmly believe not everyone is meant to…

“I admire people who do things that are interesting to them, who don’t have a strategy or a master plan or have a brand – I don’t care about any of those things.”

~Anthony Bourdain
